3. Inward-Pulling Electric Actuator (Clutch Fork Style)

Used in some 1.3L and 1.4L Yaris with later gearbox variations.

This actuator directly pulls the clutch fork inwards, using a linear motor.

Fitted to specific models and gearboxes — sometimes confused with hydraulic setups.

Common Symptoms:

Harsh engagement or “thump” into gear.

Clutch slipping under acceleration.

Vehicle won’t drive but appears to select gear.
