Toyota AYGO 2005-2024 Common Faults:
The clutch actuator fitted to the MMT gearbox on the Toyota Aygo (2005-2012) can cause no drive with the "N" light flashing on the instrument cluster. When scanned with diganostics fault code P0900 - Clutch actuator faulty, may be present.
Toyota Aygo gear actuator failure will cause problems with gear selection, the gearbox may even randomly drop out of the selected gear. Common fault codes found when scanning the vehicle include P0909 – transmission gate selection error and P0919 – gear shift position control error.

Fitted to the Toyota Yaris 1.4 D-4D (2006-2011) the MMT clutch actuator is a commonly failing part. When faulty this module may cause the vehicle to drop out of gear into neutral and may cause the vehicle to not recognise or be able to select gears. This fault may initially be intermittent but will become permanent over time if not repaired.

Our story began over a decade ago with our car sales company, Just Small Cars of Windsor. We quickly developed a love for the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107, and Citroen C1 models. These cars became our bestsellers, and soon enough, we were selling to and then maintaining fleets of them for local businesses.
With our own workshop on site and Ben’s background as a qualified technician, we naturally took on the service and repair contracts for these fleets. We learned early on that the semi-automatic MMT gearboxes required a special touch. Fortunately, our hands-on experience with these vehicles gave us the knowledge to tackle their common issues.
As we worked on these fleets, our understanding of the semi-automatic systems grew deeper. Ben spent countless hours mastering these systems to ensure we could handle repairs quickly and effectively. When Dean decided to step back from car sales, he turned his focus to reconditioning and repairing the parts needed for these gearboxes initially to help Ben's workflow but quickly becoming an expert in his own right.

We have had a tremendous influx of cars arrive at our workshop from fellow technicians and workshops across the UK who have done a beautiful job of diagnosing and installing parts onto these tricky systems however, they are left scratching their heads when the vehicle will either not calibrate or still has running issues , wasting a mass of time and slowly losing the trust of their valued customer or in their beloved car.
